Thanks for stopping by. I am a published researcher and data scientist working at the intersection of economics, electricity markets, and quantitative modelling. I enjoy building models and analytical workflows, interrogating the results, and translating complex analysis into insights that can inform policy, investment, and strategy.
I currently work at the International Energy Agency (IEA) in the Electricity Systems and Markets Division as an Energy Analyst and Lead Modeler. I coordinate a team of electricity modelers and provide expert advice on energy economics, electricity markets, and regulation. My work combines economic analysis with hands-on power-system and market modelling. Additional details can be found in my CV.
I received my PhD from the University of California, Davis, where I specialized in energy and environmental economics, econometrics, and industrial organization. My dissertation focused on: the effects of COVID on commercial activity using real-time electricity data; public ownership in wholesale electricity markets; and, grandfathering provisions in the Clean Air Act.
